Burgers!

I started baking over the lockdown period. My burger buns are a great success. Definitely better than the McD next door ๐Ÿ˜‹.

I used this Burger Buns Recipe by Yaman from CookingShooking. Nice and simple recipe.

Ready to bake

Add more water depending on how thick your roux end up. If dough is too tough, add water, a tiny amount at time โ€“ though it’s best to get lucky and get it right in one go. It’s a lot of work to knead it in later. You need a nice and soft dough that feels good in your hands.

Fresh from the oven

Takes an afternoon to make? Need to give time for the dough to rise. Work-wise it’s 40min or so.
